Kibo View is a working farm, and there is plenty to discover beyond the tents.
The Guided Farm Tour is a walking experience at Kibo View Farm where guests explore the gardens and cultivated areas with a member of our team.
Along the way, you’ll learn about the crops we grow, how different parts of the farm are used and the everyday work that goes into keeping the farm productive.
The farm is not something we created simply for visitors to look at. It is part of everyday life at Kibo View.
As you walk around, you may see vegetables growing in the gardens, crops changing with the seasons, people working on the farm and ingredients that eventually find their way into our kitchen.
As we say here: “Farming is our passion, not an option”. You will witness this passion as you walk around.
The farm changes with the seasons, so no two walks are necessarily exactly the same. Depending on what is growing and what is happening on the farm when you visit, your guide may introduce you to:
See the vegetables, herbs and other plants growing around the farm.
Discover what is being planted, growing or harvested during your visit.
See where some of the ingredients used in our meals begin their journey.
Learn about the everyday work that keeps Kibo View’s farm going.
Learn about some of the trees and plants around the property.
See the countryside around Kibo View and, on a clear day, see Mount Kilimanjaro .
This is not a race around the farm.
The walk is relaxed, with time to stop, ask questions, look at the plants and take photographs.
Your guide will adjust the pace to the group and what there is to see on the farm that day.
