Our Sundowner Experience is a chance to slow down, enjoy the evening light and take in the peaceful surroundings of the farm.
The Sundowner Experience at Kibo View Farm is a relaxed 2–3 hour evening experience, typically 5:00 PM–7:30 PM, where guests gather outdoors, enjoy drinks and watch the changing light over the Tanzanian countryside as the day comes to an end. It is available to both staying guests and visitors who arrange their visit in advance.
As the afternoon begins to fade, settle into one of the farm’s outdoor spaces and watch the light change around you.
There is no rush. Enjoy your drink, talk with friends or family, take photographs, or simply sit and watch the evening unfold.
The surroundings do much of the work. The farm, the trees, the open countryside and the changing sky create a simple setting for slowing down before the day comes to an end.
Find your spot, get comfortable and settle into the evening as the surroundings begin to change with the setting sun.
Enjoy your chosen drink, spend time with your companions and watch the evening light move across the farm and countryside.
As the light fades, your sundowner experience comes to an end, leaving you free to continue with dinner, etc.

The Sundowner Experience is specifically about the evening: finding a comfortable place to sit, enjoying a drink and taking time to watch the day come to an end.
It does not include a Guided Farm Walk or Private Farm-to- Table Dinner
If you would like to explore the farm with a guide, the Guided Farm Walk can be booked separately. If you would like to stay for dinner, our Farm-to-Table Dining Experience is a separate experience that can be arranged for the evening.
On clear days, Mount Kilimanjaro can become part of the evening view from the farm.
Sometimes the mountain is visible against the changing sky. At other times, clouds cover it completely. We cannot promise a Kilimanjaro view, but when the mountain appears, it makes an already beautiful evening feel even more special.
The Sundowner Experience is suitable for staying guests, couples, families, friends and small groups looking for a relaxed way to spend the evening.
You do not have to be staying overnight at Kibo View to enjoy a sundowner. Visitors from outside the lodge are welcome to enquire and arrange their visit in advance.

You can make the sundowner part of your stay without having to go anywhere. And the good thing is that, the sundowner experience is free for Kibo View staying clients.
Spend the afternoon exploring the farm, return to your tent to freshen up, then join us for the evening. After the sun goes down, continue with dinner or simply return to your accommodation and enjoy the quiet of the farm at night.
We recommend booking in advance, especially if you are visiting from outside the lodge or coming as a group. This helps us prepare the space and drinks for your visit

Cloudy weather does not necessarily mean the evening cannot be enjoyed. The experience is about spending time outdoors and watching the evening change, but the sunset and Kilimanjaro are naturally dependent on weather conditions.
