Tarangire National Park is a beautiful park in northern Tanzania, about 2 hours drive from Arusha. It covers 2,850 square kilometers and is famous for its large elephant herds and giant baobab trees. The park is named after the Tarangire River, which runs through it.
Visitors can see many animals like elephants, lions, leopards, and large herds of zebras and wildebeest. The park is also great for bird watching, with over 550 bird species. During the dry season (June to October), many animals gather near the Tarangire River, making it an excellent time for wildlife viewing.
Tarangire is less crowded than some other parks, offering a peaceful safari experience. It’s perfect for a day trip or longer stay, giving visitors a chance to see lots of wildlife in a beautiful setting with stunning landscapes.
